Summary of the Role:
- Working alongside occupational therapists, you will provide a range of comprehensive supports for young children with a variety of developmental needs. You will have opportunities to work on everything from early social engagement, speech and language development, to emotional regulation and executive functioning.
- Be one of first therapists in the country – and the world! to learn the JASPER therapy approach (Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation: Kasari, Gulsrud, Shire & Strawbridge, 2021).
- Collaborate with your SLP, OT, and therapy assistant colleagues on a daily basis.
- Act as a guide for families navigating the process of diagnosis and supporting their child.
- Develop and practice your skills in parent coaching, and training therapy assistants and other support staff.
- Have regular ongoing support from Nurture Directors.
