About Noelle Lamb

Noelle Lamb (B.Ed., M.Sc. Aud (C)) was a member of the Faculty at the UBC School of Audiology and Speech Sciences from 1976 to 2001, initially as Instructor and later as a Senior Instructor. Early in her career with SASS, Ms. Lamb taught all clinical audiology coursework. As additional audiology faculty members were hired, she began to focus more specifically on Introduction to Clinical Audiology and Aural Rehabilitation courses. Ms. Lamb also served as the Clinical Coordinator in audiology — scheduling student observations and externships, and providing essential support to students and their clinical educators in the community. Her great joy is seeing students become colleagues, making important contributions to the profession and providing excellent service to their clients. Ms. Lamb feels that the dedication and teamwork of other faculty members, clinical coordinators, and community clinical educators has always been essential to this worthwhile outcome.

Ms. Lamb is honoured to have the Noelle Lamb Award for Excellence in Clinical Education established in her name. The inauguration of this award coincides with the School’s 40th anniversary.
