Summary of the Role:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologists who are interested in working with school-aged children and youth in full-time or part-time school year positions (FTE negotiable).
As a Private School Speech-Language Pathologist with the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC) you will be responsible for managing your caseload and utilizing evidence informed procedures to assess, plan and carry out speech-language programs either directly or through teachers, support staff or families. Our School S-LPs work collaboratively with childrens’ school support teams to determine the best array and intensity of services for children based on the goals being targeted and the resources available. Our school clinicians work on a 10 month on, 2 month off work schedule to compliment school operation times. Our clinicians work from our offices located in Chilliwack or Abbotsford and they offer services out in private schools in these cities and in neighbouring communities.
